Booking and Scheduling
How do I book an appointment?
Visit our website and select your device, your model, and the repair you need. You will see your exact price, choose a date and time, enter your address and contact details, and you are done. The whole booking takes about 2 minutes. You can also call us at (916) 250-1878 to book by phone.
Can I book same-day service?
Yes. Book before 3 PM and your technician usually arrives the same day, often within the hour. We also offer extended emergency hours beyond our standard 8 AM to 8 PM window for urgent situations.
What happens after I submit my booking?
You receive an instant confirmation by email and text message. Your technician is notified and will arrive at the location you selected at your scheduled time. If anything changes, the technician will contact you directly with an updated arrival time.
Can I reschedule or cancel my appointment?
Yes. You can reschedule or cancel at any time before your appointment from your booking confirmation. There is no fee for rescheduling or canceling.
How quickly will the technician arrive after I book?
If you book for a specific time, that is when we aim to be there. For same-day appointments booked before 3 PM, arrival is often within the hour. Significant delays are rare. Most variations are five to ten minutes.
Pricing and Payment
How much does a repair cost?
Prices are listed on our website and updated weekly. When you start the booking process, you will see your exact price for the specific repair and model before you confirm. No hidden fees, no surprises.
What payment methods do you accept?
We accept Apple Pay, Apple Cash, Venmo, Cash App, PayPal, and cash.
When do I pay?
After the repair is complete and you are satisfied with the result. We never collect deposits or upfront charges. You pay only when the work is done.
Is there a diagnostic fee or service call charge?
No. Diagnosis is free. If we arrive and determine the issue is different from what you expected, we will explain what we found before doing anything. You are never charged for a diagnosis.
Do I pay anything if my device cannot be repaired?
No. If your device is deemed irreparable, you pay nothing. No diagnostic fee. No service call charge. We only collect payment when the repair is successfully completed.
The Repair Process
How long does a typical repair take?
Screen replacements and battery repairs take about 30 minutes from when the technician arrives. Charger port repairs take about 90 minutes. More complex repairs may vary. Your technician will give you an honest time estimate before starting.
Where is my device actually repaired?
Right in front of you. The technician completes the repair from their service vehicle, parked as close to your front door as possible. You can watch the entire process. Your device never goes to a shop or leaves your sight.
Do I need to prepare my device before the technician arrives?
If you can, charge your phone to at least 30% so the technician can verify the device before and after the repair. Note any gate codes, apartment numbers, or parking instructions when you book. Back up your data if you have time, though data is rarely affected by a screen or part replacement.
What happens if a new problem is discovered during my repair?
Sometimes a cracked screen hides an additional issue underneath. If a separate problem surfaces during or after your repair, that is treated as a separate service. We will always tell you what we found before doing anything beyond what you originally booked.
Do I need to be home the entire time?
You are welcome to step away after handing off the device, but staying nearby is ideal so you can verify the repair and handle payment when it is done. If you prefer to wait inside, the technician will bring your device to you when it is finished.
Your Technician
Who is the technician that will come to my location?
Our lead technician for the Sacramento region is J. Beck, the owner and operator of ITECHS Sacramento. J. Beck personally handles the majority of repairs and sets the quality standard for every job. Additional certified technicians cover fill-in appointments and outlying areas.
Are your technicians certified?
Yes. Technicians who join the team train at a facility in Los Angeles that has been operating for over 15 years. Screen repair certification requires a minimum one-week course. Complex repair certifications run longer. ITECHS leadership has over 20 years of hands-on industry experience.
What does the service vehicle look like?
Our primary service vehicle in Sacramento is a blue Ford C-Max with company logos and information. The rear seats are completely removed and replaced with a fully equipped repair bench including professional lighting, soldering equipment, heat blowers, power supplies, and precision tools. On occasion, the technician may arrive in a personal vehicle. They are equally equipped for common repairs and the same quality standards apply.
Can I watch the repair being done?
Absolutely. You are welcome to join the technician at the vehicle, ask questions, and watch every step. Many of our customers do. Your device never leaves your sight, and our technicians are happy to explain what they are doing along the way.
What if the technician is running late?
They will contact you by text or call with an updated arrival time. If your phone is not working, we also have your email and can send notifications through the booking platform. Significant delays are very rare.
Warranty and Screen Quality
What warranty comes with my repair?
Screen repairs carry a lifetime warranty. All other repair types carry a 12-month warranty from the date of service. If your replacement screen malfunctions under normal use with no signs of physical damage, we replace it at no cost. Every time.
What does the warranty not cover?
The warranty does not cover damage caused by a new incident: drops, impacts, liquid exposure, misuse, or abnormal conditions. If your new screen cracks from a new drop, that is a new incident and a separate repair. If it stops working on its own with no signs of trauma, that is a warranty claim and we cover it.
What types of screen quality do you offer?
We offer three tiers. Standard LCD is budget-friendly with a one-year guarantee, best for calls, text, and trade-in. Premium OLED is our best seller with True Tone support and a lifetime guarantee, great for media, photos, and gaming. Apple OLED is a genuine Apple display with True Tone, no display warnings, and a lifetime guarantee.
How do I know which screen quality to choose?
It depends on how you use your phone and your budget. Standard LCD is a reliable everyday screen. Premium OLED is the sweet spot for most people who want a great display without paying for OEM. Apple OLED is the right choice if you want a factory-original display with no compromises.
Do you sell pre-owned phones?
In the Sacramento market, our technicians may have pre-owned devices available depending on current inventory. If your phone is deemed irreparable and you need to stay connected right away, ask your technician what they have on hand.
Service Area and Contact
What areas do you serve?
We serve Sacramento and the greater Sacramento region including Elk Grove, Rancho Cordova, Citrus Heights, Folsom, Roseville, Rocklin, Carmichael, Fair Oaks, Davis, West Sacramento, Natomas, North Highlands, Rio Linda, Orangevale, and El Dorado Hills.
What are your hours of operation?
Repair services are available from 8:00 AM to 8:00 PM, seven days a week. You can book online 24 hours a day. We also offer extended emergency hours for urgent situations outside our standard window.
Do you come to apartments and gated communities?
Yes. When you book, there is a field for gate codes, apartment numbers, building numbers, and parking instructions. Provide these details so the technician can find you without delay. If there is a front desk or security checkpoint, you can select "see the front receptionist" as the arrival preference.
Can I have my repair done at my workplace?
Yes. You can enter any address when you book, including your office, a coworking space, or any commercial location. If there is a front desk or security desk, let the technician know when you book. You can also choose how the technician should arrive: text, call, knock, ring the doorbell, or check in at the front desk.
How do I contact you if my phone is not working?
You can book online at any time without needing to call. If you have access to another device, you can also call us at (916) 250-1878 or email info@iphonetechnicians.com. All booking confirmations and updates are sent to both your email and phone number, so you will get notifications even if one device is down.
